17 Magazine???? (Rant)

Hi y'all,
 I was just wondering, was there a 17 Magazine that came in November? I mean for like December/January? I moved recently and our mail has kinda been messed up so I really have no idea, but I'm pretty sure there was one and I really want it! I'm subscribed and I think I'm gonna have to buy it in stores!!!! Ahhh, that's so inconvenient. Meeep!

Sorry 'bout that rant but, really Postal Service? You've got a bad enough rep and now your making me buy something that I technically already bought? If anyone who is reading this works for the Postal service  I love you but teenage girls need these things, and I know you don't think its important but it really IS!

Thanksgiving Shopping/ 1st Youtube Video

hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been enjoying Thanksgiving break and I hope you have been too. (You know, if you're American.) Over the break I have to admit I've gone shopping a lot more than I should have. Not even Black Friday shopping, but like just all over the place. So below I'll show you guys my little Thanksgiving haul!!!

Brand Name Consignment Shop:

Pants- I got two pairs of jeans, one is a pair of jeggings from Abercrombie Kids, ($10) and the other is a pair of straight jeans (Morgan cut $12) from Delias.

 

Soap- The things in the boxes stacked on top of each other are both bars of soap. The one on top is Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap and the one on the bottom is Sapificio Artigianale Fiorentino Italian handmade soap. Both were only $3

Walmart:

Nail Polishes: *Sorry, I know you can't see one* Revlon Nails in Whimsical. This color is sooooo pretty (it was on my want list) it is a really light blue with cotton candy blue and pink sparkly flecks in it. The next one is just a white nail polish from Sinful Colors, called Snow Me White.

 

Mascara: Maybelline The Mega Plush Volum' Express. I got this because I needed a new black, bold mascara and Talia recommended it <3

Christmas Tree Shop:

Dish/Bowl/Goblet thingy: This is a really cool looking faux antique thing. Its a muted yellow/green and the texture and pattern of the glass is so pretty. I'm using it to hold my earrings. $3

Festive Door Decor: This is just a really cheap and fun way to make your room look festive for the holidays. Its a little ring to go around your door handle with a poinsettia thing near the top and jingle bells hanging down. Cute! $2-$1???

My First Day of Filming/ Youtube Channel

Hello!
As you may have guessed from the title I filmed a video for my new channel today! It will be my second video that I upload, after my Intro/Whats in my makeup bag video. It was the un-boxing of my Stila All Is Bright lip glaze set and I was sooo excited to finally open it. The colors are spectacular!

I did start a Youtube channel today as well, but you won't be able to find it until I post a video (which I'll post about.) Its bowsglitterandme27. I'm really pumped about getting my first video out to you guys. Just so you know I'll have all the information about my videos (schedule, Youtube/blog ratio, etc.) in the post that I make once I get a video up.

Sooooo..... yeah. I just wanted to have a little happy fest with you guys and talk. Hope you guys enjoyed my little Youtube fangirl rant.

Stila All Is Bright lip glaze set

YAAAYYYY!!!!

I finally got the Stila All Is Bright lip glaze set, that I've been wanting forever. It comes with the colors jack frost*, jingle*, holly*, jolly*, splendor*, black cherry, and sugar plum. All the ones with snowflakes (*) (just because I'm feeling merry) are limited to this set. The whole set was $25 compared to Nars blush which is $28 per blush. And they aren't sold individually. Omg you don't know how excited I am! I get to knock this one off my Want list. But I haven't opened them yet because I want to film my un-boxing.

Yes, you heard me, film. I will be starting my own beauty Youtube channel soon. I don't know the exact specifics about dates and what not, but hopefully before or a little after Thanksgiving. So stay tuned for my announcement, the video of un-boxing will probably be the second one I post. That's all folks!

OOTD

I'm so excited, since this is my first Outfit Of The Day! Basically, today I wore one of my all time favorite fall outfits. I paired a cute white long sleeve top from Abercrombie Kids with a plum/burgundy skirt that my mom bought me in Paris. Its from Miss Avant Premire. I completed the look with a cheetah print infinity scarf. I know you can't see but the skirt is a little bit pleated and that mixed with the skinny tan belt make the whole out sit more sophisticated. 

Okay, I need help on deciding on m Christmas present! I want to know what Sephora eyeshadow palette you recommend because I can't decide!!!! Please leave me helpful comments!!!

Mini- Haul- Walmart

What I wrote in my post on Friday about me not buying anything is no longer true! Thank heavens! Since I don't have job, I made some moola by trading in old video games. I know that sounds lame, but its actually a really good way to make cash. Hopefully, you'll see some reviews up for these in a little bit. I didn't get much, but I did get a couple things I've been wanting for a while....

Maybelline Dream Matte Power (in Sand Medium 0-1)

I used my coupon from the Weekly Dis. I had up a while ago, for $1 off any Maybelline face product and I got this. So it was originally $7.24 and I got it for $6.24. I actually looked up what the best Maybelline face product was and many people said this was it, so hopefully they weren't lying.

Hard Candy Top Ten Palette in Naturally Gorgeous

Since lately I've been wanting the Naked Palette, I saw this and I was like, 'wow this has a lot of the same shades/colors that the Naked Pallete does,' so I figured I'd try it out. Its only $6 so its not like I'm wasting a ton of money if I don't like it.

Jergens Natural Glow & Protect Daily Moisturizer

I didn't actually buy this, it came with shampoo that my mom bought. Its basically a tinted moisturizer for your skin that gradually tans you, and I've been wanting to try this lotion since summer. I'm excited I got a sample size too because if I don't like it I won't feel guilty about having a whole bottle to throw away.

Although this coral is summery, I decided to stick with it because its Halloween-y and I think that I made it work for fall. Even though the color is a light orange it has a gold shimmer/glitter in it that I though could work for this season. Hey I need new nail polish what can I say!?!

Product Review #2

Sorry this is late and short but... read the following and you'll understand ↓

So, lately I haven't been out to shop for... anything!!! Its really sad! I haven't purchased any new makeup or beauty products or clothes! I've stooped down to online shopping like 24/7. So sorry, no hauls. (Even though I want to do one sooooo bad) But my mom hid this product away from me, and I've been dying to try it.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Oil Treatment:

I've been hearing a lot (as have any other person who goes outside and talks) about Moroccan Oil. Now I know this isn't the brand name Moroccan oil, but I wanted to try one out to see if I liked it, or if it even worked. I wasn't expecting this to work that wonderfully because, well its Garnier Fructis, and they aren't the highest quality brand. But.... it actually did what it advertised! When I put this oil in, in the shower, my wet hair automatically felt smoother. And even the next day (today) its been soft and not knotting up throughout the whole day.

The Guide for Preventing Dry Skin!

It's November already and it's about to get colder! I know that when seasons transition from Fall to Winter (should those be caps?) I always get dry skin. However, I've found a few ways to help skin return to its natural moisturized glory!

For your face....

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture. I have this in Combination Skin, but there are two others SPF 15 and SPF 35. This moisturizer works really well without causing your delicate face skin to breakout.

For your elbows, knees, and other especially dry crooks and crannies...

C.O. Bigelow Lavender Salve. This stuff works wonderfully on dry skin especially for elbows and knees. It says on the side that you can use it on your face, but I wouldn't. *Because it is a thicker, Vaseline-like, scented salve, the texture and scent probably aren't good for your face.* The scent (btw) smells nice and sweet without being too overpowering.

*I actually looked at the ingredients and the first ingredient was Petrolatum which is similar to Petroleum. It contains 4 oils! Definitely not for your face!!!*

 

 

For all over...

Olay Body Ultra Moisture. This is the only store bought brand that I was able to find that actually moisturizes your skin well. The bow that the soap comes in says "softer, smoother skin in 7 days" and its the truth! Its nice and creamy on your skin and smells light and fresh. Its definitely a winter must have for me!

Halloween Costume

This year, my mom didn't feel like buying us costumes, so we made our own. I didn't sow anything, I just used clothes that I had. I basically threw together a patterned pencil skirt, a colored cami under a white dress shirt, neon/black leggings, and a pink striped tie.

My costume is Ke$ha/Rockstar/Glitter thing.

I'm gonna use this kit of glitter cream and stencils to make cool designs around my eyes. These are from Party City and I think they were 40% off. It was $10, not the best price for how little glitter you get but it does come with the stencils sooo...

I also got this purple hairspray from Party City, though I'm not sure the exact price, I'm pretty sure it was around $5. Its a basic Halloween necessity, for Pete's sake! It simply sprays in and washes out with shampoo.

For these fun, glittery lips I simply smothered my lips in a sticky gloss (I used Maybelline Shinesensational gloss in Crushed Candy, which was already sparkly.) Then I used a fine, pink glitter that I probably got at Michael's, put it on a plate, and stuck my lips in it!

Now something not costume related, here's a fun and cheap way you can make you house look spooky!

Glow in the dark spider web! Stick this on your bushes and it automatically makes your house look festive. They were only 97¢ at Walmart!

Sorry I've been absent, but my Blogspot totally spazzed and it said that this blog was spam?!?! It's not by the way. I just wanted to update you guys on stuff that's been going on.

1.) Hurricane Sandy:
I survived! It's been cray cray but everything in my county has almost to returned to normal. Halloween has been moved to tomorrow, so look for my Halloween costume post. But a lot of people aren't okay and need help on more ways to donate click here for ways to help.

2.) Food:
Just wanted to inform you on some yummy things I've tried recently. One is Dunkin Donuts' Pumpkin White Chocolate Latte. OMG; it's actually greeeeaaat! I got the decaf because you knoowww. Also, McDonald's eggnog shake. :/ I've never had eggnog before and I don't want anymore afterwards. It was good at first but it got too sweet.

3.) Sniffy:
So I went to the mall today. Thankfully, it had power, and I smelled the famous, new Cashmere Glow from Bath&Body Works. I was surprised it smells really good. I was expecting more fruity because of the description online but its actually a really cozy scent. I also rediscovered the perfume Dark Kiss, I forgot just how much I love it. Definitely a nice spicy/sweet scent. Yum!
