Mini Rimmel Haul

1.) Lasting Finish Color Rush Jumbo Lip Pencil- I was so excited to see a new jumbo lip pencil from a brand that I love! There was a wide range of colors, I believe 15 shades. I haven't heard anything about these pencils. From what I can tell they are hard to find, they aren't even on Rimmel's website yet! I got the shade 200 Keep Mauving and I love it so far!

2.) Show Off Lip Lacquer- This is a new line of amazingly pigmented lip lacquers, available in many shades, but definitely less selection than the Lasting Finish Lip Pencils. This product is SUPER pigmented and feels great on the lips. I got the shade 401 Aurora, and I definitely want to get my hands on a more everyday color, since Aurora is pretty bold.

3.) Stay Matte Primer- A new primer to be used in correlation with the Stay Matte Foundation and Stay Matte Powder. I held off on the foundation from this line because people are saying that it accentuates dry patches, which I have a lot of this winter. I'm going to wait until the summer to purchase it, that way I'll have it in my summer shade and dry patches won't be a problem. I like this primer so far but I still need to keep testing it out!

Review: New Revlon Powder Blush

Claims:
~ Soft and silky texture
~Build-able color
~Natural satin finish

These blushes come in a total of 8 colors and one bronzer shade. I have the shade Mavelous. These blushes are new and I believe they will take the place of the old Revlon powder blushes. At least that's what it seems because on their website, if you click on blushes and bronzers, these and the other new cheek products are the only things they have listed. They retail for around $10.
I really like this blush. I only have one shade, so I don't know the quality of the lighter/darker shades, but this one is a winner. The color isn't exactly mauve; I'd describe it more as a watermelon color. It has a little bit of a coral undertone. The payoff is nice on the cheeks, but when you swatch it via fingers it takes a little time to build up the color. I think when applied with a brush to the cheeks, the color comes off a little better than when you swatch it.

(This took 2 swatches to get this payoff)

Overall:
~ Nice color selection
~Nice color payoff
~True to claims
~The names are cute (Mauvelous, Wine Not)
~Affordable

Review: Covergirl truBLEND Liquid Foundation

Features/Claims:
~"Flawless nude look"
 ~21 shades
 ~Blends in and disappears
 ~Light to Medium coverage

Covergirl recently launched a lot of new makeup at the drugstore, including this Trublend liquid foundation. This product was already in the Covergirl permanent line, and many people were wondering if it was a new formula. I can't say because I don't have the older version, but from looking on their website it seems the only difference is the packaging and "new shade matching system." They also added new shades to the line, so that more skin tones can find the right foundation for their complexion.

I'm in the shade L2 Classic Ivory. The matching system works by first finding your "shade family" then picking the number you are. So I knew I'd be in the Light range and then I matched the foundation to my skin and chose number 2. (The link to the Covergirl website is HERE, for a display of all shade and more in depth matching process)

Let me just start off by saying that I love this foundation. It is true to all the claims; it's lightweight, blends in seamlessly, looks flawless on the skin. It covers well (but it's still light to medium coverage) without looking cake-y. With so many shades you can definitely find one that will match your skin. It's perfect for everyday wear and I find myself reaching for it on a day-to-day basis. I love the new packaging (compared to the old one it is much nicer) because it's sleek and the pump gives the perfect amount. This is probably a new holy grail product!

Things I Like About the Product:
~Pump/Nice packaging
~Good coverage and finish
~SUPER blendable
~Matches my skin perfectly
~Lightweight
~Don't need a ton of product (I use 2 pumps)

Naked 3 Palette Review & Swatches

Hello Everyone!
I apoligize for my absence in the past few months, but I've been really busy with school. I got a camera (Canon Rebel T3i) for Christmas, so I want to start posting more using my new camera! Anyways let's get along with the review!

Packaging:

So above is the packaging, which I think I gorgeous. Very classy, sleek, and fitting to the rosy theme of the palette. Also extremely travel friendly! The only problem I have with the packaging is that the interior of the palette lifts up when I open it. It's hard to explain so I'll show you a picture.

Swatches:

Shade Review:

Strange: A creamy, matte color with a very slight rosy undertone. Perfect for highlighting brow bone and inner corners of the eyes.
Dust: Super sparkly, light pink shade. Not my favorite because of its flaky,  glittery texture; it produces a lot of fallout. It also isn't very pigmented.
Burnout: Terra-cotta, rose color with a satin finish. Creamy texture and nice pigmentation.
Limit: Light, nude rose color with a matte finish. Nice crease color for those with a light complexion.
Buzz: Definitely one of the most pink colors, it's a deeper dust rose with a slight purple undertone. It has very finely milled glitter, but nothing like Dust.
Trick: Golden, coppery shade also with finely milled glitter. I don't like this shade much either because the pigmentation is lacking and you really have to dig in the pan to get color payoff.

Nooner: Darkest matte shade in the palette. Cocoa brown with a mauve hint to it. Great for deepening up a look without going overboard.
Liar: Another shade with very, very little glitter, but with a seemingly satin finish. Nice neutral brown with a pinky sheen.
Factory: Deep brown shade also with micro-glitter. This shade has a little bit of fallout but not enough to make me dislike it.
Mugshot: True satin finish slightly taupe-y brown with a very minimal purple undertone, but nothing overwhelming.
Darkside: Darkest brown in palette with a slight gray duo-chrome effect to it. It's almost unnoticeable but it adds a little pizazz to the color.
Blackheart: Beautiful black shade with red shimmer that makes it seem almost a deep purple in the pan. Once swatched it's clearly not purple, but still a great, unique color.

FAQ's:

Is it similar to the other Naked palettes?
I only have the first one (not the second) but from what I can tell, the colors are very unique for this palette. If anything the colors were only slightly similar.

Does the rosy theme make the colors unwearable?
Absolutely not! They may seem intimidating but once on the eyes, they look quite subtle and neutral.

Is it worth it?
Yes! Although the price does seem steep, these eye shadows will last for years. The shade selection is amazing and you will always be able to create a new look.

Overall:

This palette is really an amazing addition to the Naked palette collection. It's unique from the other palettes, and also many other high end palettes, because I haven't seen many rose themed palettes before. It is definitely a wonderful palette to add to anyone's makeup collection. Although some of the shades were a bit disappointing, I still believe that this palette is well-worth $52.

Ipsy Bag July Sneak Peaks

Sneak Peak #1:

Definitely a chubby lip pencil, but it's hard to tell what brand, since so many make this kind of product. I'm hoping for Tarte or Revlon.

Sneak Peak #2:

This is surely a product with SPF but is it just a sunscreen or some kind of moisturizer? Leave your guesses on products and brands below :)

Sneak Peak #3:

The spray you see is definitely from Healthy Sexy Hair, the sea salt spray? And the other is a hair spray!

 Sneak Peak #4:

I love this tropical packaging! Many people are saying this is a BH Cosmetics palette from the California Collection and that we may be receiving 3 eyeshadows.

Review: Urban Decay Deslick Setting Spray

This setting spray really works wonders! The "matte" effect may not be for everybody, but for people like me with oily skin, matte is definitely a desired look! This setting spray really works wonders for keeping the skin matte for a while after you put it on. I didn't feel self-conscious about my greasy skin through out the day after I applied this.
While this product did great with making sure my skin stayed non-oily it didn't do such a great job with actually keeping my makeup in place. I'm not saying it didn't do anything at all! I did notice that my foundation stayed better than if I had not applied it, but I suppose I was expecting it to stay absolutely perfect. I feel it did a better job keeping my face matte. In comparison the setting effect is not as great as the mattifying effect. It did wear a little bit throughout the day, but not enough to make me regret buying it!
If you have oily skin then definitely give this a go! But everybody's skin is different so I'm not saying it will work the same for everybody, however it did work amazingly on me! I would like to try the original setting spray (All Nighter) to see if it kept my makeup locked in place any better.
