January Birchbox 2013

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while but here's my mistake Birchbox. I say mistake cause I thought monthly meant having to re-email every month, but I guess you had to cancel your subscription. Oh well!!!

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil:

I got this and was excited to try it! I used it once in the shower (I thought you could use it in wet or dry hair but its supposed to go in dry.) Any way I haven't used it properly yet, but I'm really excited to! I'm just dissapointed in the size :(

TheBalm Put a Lid On It Eyelid Primer:

Pretty self-explanatory. Its an eyelid primer but I'm really excited to get this too. I only have the sample Urban Decay Primer Potion that came with my Naked palette so I was happy to receive this little guy. However, its still a small size; I wish there were more full size products!

Clark's Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream:

The card that came with the Birchbox said "If it tingles its working" but it doesn't tingle when I put it on! It does tingle for my mom, so I'm guessing this is for older people, but its still a really nice moisturizer that smells great and doesn't make me break out!

Harvey Prince Skinny Chic:

This is a perfume sample and at first I was like Oh great another sample for me not to use! But I did use it and I have to say I LOVE IT. It smells really fresh and young. I usually don't like fruitier scents (this is crisp green apple, sweet mint, and warm amber in it) and I really like it. I want to get a bigger size for the Spring/Summer because I think it's a great scent for those seasons.

Beauty Extra

Juice Beauty Daily Essentials organics To Go:

This is a little sampler of three of Juice Beauty's treatment that you're supposed to use in steps. 1: Cleansing Milk which cleanses, tones, and removes makeup. 2: Antioxidant Serum which protects and replenishes and has DMAE, Vitamin C, and peptides. And 3: Nutrient Moisturizer which hydrates, replenishes, and protects. This hasn't been used yet and probably won't be used for a while.

Over all, after receiving two Birchboxes I'm not really impressed. I feel like there's a lot of hype around something that just isn't that great. The samples are just that; samples, and they're small samples at that. And its not worth it for me for $10. So this is probably gonna be my last Birchbox and hopefully you'll see an Ipsy MyGlam Bag (which is the same price- $10- with great sizes and better samples) review/video this month or February!
